Welcome to the Pack
Where every adventure becomes a memory, every memory becomes a story, and every story becomes part of the Pack.
A Letter From Our Founder
A Letter From Our Founder
My connection with dogs began long before PackHaven had a name.
When I was a child, I had a Great Dane named Nikki. Nikki was my everything. When my mother told me we were moving to California, Nikki couldn't come with us and would be staying with my uncle.
Before my mother took her there, I whispered our home address into Nikki's ear. In my child's mind, I needed her to know where to find me.
The next morning, Nikki came home.
I remember running to her completely convinced that she had listened to every word I whispered and found her way back to me. Of course, my mother had to take her back again — but I never forgot that feeling: the joy of seeing her return, followed by the heartbreak of having to say goodbye again.
Years later, Charlie came into my life during a period of awakening and change. He was just over eight weeks old and seemed to struggle with being separated from his brother.
Then came Midnight.
At a Thanksgiving gathering at work, I met an energetic little puppy about the same age as Charlie. I overheard his owner discussing taking him to a pound or sending him to his daughter in Las Vegas. Without much hesitation, I asked if he would sell him to me.
He called the next morning. We met at a coffee shop, and Midnight came home.
Charlie and Midnight's kennels sat beside one another for the first few days. Almost immediately, Charlie became more active. He showed Midnight around his new home and even taught him how to use the doggie door.
They've been inseparable ever since.
PackHaven grew from those experiences — the belief that dogs listen, remember, teach, comfort, adapt, and form relationships every bit as individual as our own.
We don't want to simply know a dog's feeding schedule or kennel number. We want to know who they are.
Because when someone trusts PackHaven with a member of their family, that trust means everything.

The Inspiration
Meet Charlie & Midnight
The two dogs who taught us that dogs teach, comfort and adapt.

Charlie
German Shepherd × Golden Retriever · The Gentle Guide
Charlie is affectionate, observant, patient and naturally nurturing. When Midnight first came home, Charlie helped him adjust, showed him around and even taught him how to use the doggie door. His personality represents one of PackHaven's central beliefs: dogs don't simply live beside one another — they communicate, teach and form their own relationships.

Midnight
Husky × German Shepherd · The Adventurer
Midnight arrived as an energetic little puppy and quickly became Charlie's constant companion. Curious, expressive, intelligent and always ready to explore, Midnight brings the adventure to the pair. Where Charlie often provides the calm and guidance, Midnight supplies the energy and curiosity. The two have been nearly inseparable since the beginning.
